Hwy 5 reopens after vehicle incident

As of 10 p.m. on January 28th, traffic is once again flowing in both directions on Highway 5 south of Valemount.
Around 6 p.m. the highway was closed between Albreda River South Bridge and Bear Road in both directions due to a vehicle incident. The incident resulted in a highway closure spanning from about 7 km south of Valemount to 42 km north of Blue River.
At 8:49 p.m. Drive BC reported that traffic control was on site with an assessment in progress.
