A woman was killed in a snowmobile incident in the Allan Creek area, a snowmobile trail near Valemount, on the morning of December 28th. According to RCMP media relations officer Madonna Saunderson, the RCMP received a call about the incident at 9:50 a.m. that morning.
Search and Rescue were called and found the victim, Saunderson said. She added that there is nothing to indicate the death was suspicious.
The BC Coroners Service confirmed that it is investigating the incident. The investigation is still open and a cause of death has not yet been determined. The Service was unable to predict when the investigation will be complete.
