A CN train struck a vehicle near Moose Lake at around 5:25 p.m. on November 28th, according to the RCMP.
The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of collision, said Media Relations Officer Madonna Saunderson. There were no reported injuries.
Police spoke to the driver at the scene. According to Saunderson, the driver slid down an embankment onto the tracks and was unable to drive his vehicle off the tracks. He exited the vehicle when he saw an oncoming train.
The investigation is still active, Saunderson said. Police believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the incident.
