I see the Village of McBride found the funds to resurface alleys in the village.
It’s nice to have smooth alleys so that drivers can go fast down the alleys while we living on the north side of 4th Ave, have lakes form in front of our houses due to rain events or snow melt because of a lack of storm sewers/drains or even ditches.
In front of my house at 944 4th Ave, we also have sidewalks that slope into our property rather than out towards the non existent storm sewer or ditch.
After a particularly heavy rain, I have a two inch puddle to step into after opening my gate. Perhaps the council will see fit to either fix the existing problems or in the meantime would supply us with no fishing or no swimming signs.
