The stretch of 5th Avenue between the ESSO and the A&W/Petro Canada buildings will be closed as of Monday, September 23rd, for up to two weeks as the demolition of the Valemount entrance sign begins.
According to a Facebook post from the Village of Valemount, access to businesses will be unaffected. To access Village Centre, residents should use 6th Avenue.
The entrance sign is rotting and has been in place for over 20 years. Village Council approved the design for a new sign at their February 13th meeting.
The Goat will follow along as the Village continues to provide further updates.
