The Village of Valemount has announced that the Valemount Community Hall, located at 101 Gorse Street, will be open Friday and Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Jasper evacuees to gather and process the impacts to their community.
“This is a difficult time for everyone, and we believe that coming together as a community can help navigate through these difficulties,” the Village said in a post on Facebook.
Robson Valley Community Services will have facilitators on-site to help residents connect with one another and process the events of the past week. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences with fellow Jasper residents.
Pizza and other refreshments will be available.
