Canada’s Transportation and Safety Board (TSB) says it’s currently gathering information on a November 2nd train derailment near Blue River to determine if the incident requires a full investigation.
Canadian National (CN) said crews responded to the derailment west of Blue River on Thursday afternoon.
Upon arriving at the incident scene, crews observed 19 cars of crushed rock derailed in various positions of derailment.
“There were no dangerous goods involved, nor any injuries or fires. The cause of the incident remains under investigation,” CN told The Goat.
TSB said the incident caused damage to infrastructure, but didn’t specify what was damaged in the incident or to what extent.
CN said train traffic resumed in the area on November 3rd.
The Goat reached out to TSB and RCMP for additional information, but did not receive a response by publication time.
