The McBride District Volunteer Fire Department, RCMP and BC Ambulance Services responded to alarms at the McBride and District Hospital on the afternoon of Oct 17th. Fire Chief Dave Hruby was pleased with how the event unfolded. “Everything went well,” he said. “It turned out to be a faulty sensor on the sprinkler system. The hospital implemented their emergency plan and everything worked as it should have. No fire and no injuries. A good end to an alarm.” Some of the hospital staff commented that they were impressed with the response and commitment by the fire department members who continued to show up in private vehicles after the trucks had left the station. Off-duty hospital staff members also appeared offering help, leaving those involved with an overwhelming sense of community and caring. /ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:AirvacMcBride Fire crew welcomes new CaptainOil donationFireSmart Education a new focus for former Fire ChiefRural rescue crews urge public to learn meaning of…Post navigationSimpcw, Stoney First Nations partner with Parks Canada to revive historic treatyFire Prevention education
