Driving across the bridge over the Fraser River in McBride this past Friday July, 21st, one could observe a different kind of transportation on the river. Two men were manoeuvring back and forth on the water in a float plane called the “Sky Wagon.” River currents will play a significant role in takeoff and landing considerations as well as during displacement taxiing, casting off, docking and mooring of the airplane. Both men took a moment during their last pass to wave and then took to the skies. / SANDRA JAMESRelated Posts:Rapid melt: Fraser River flooding in photosWater levels drop after flooding last weekFlood warning continues for Robson Valley, but…Residents along Dore River wait for reportThe well isn't dry, it's gonePost navigationHISTORY – Dennison & Brittain 1927Village buys former BnB as staff housing
