I had spotted this mother grizzly with her two second summer nearly all black cubs several times over the month of May, however mostly at long range. With days of effort slipping by and still no capture of any exciting and close behaviour footage I was wanting, it was looking quite hopeless especially now that there was literally hundreds of good feeding areas throughout this backcountry valley. I was however determined to the point of being obsessed to film this grizzly family. One afternoon things finally turned my way. I was quietly walking through a semi open and wooded area when I spotted them close, actually way too close to get my camera out of my backpack without being detected. I backed away 50 yards or so and got my camera ready. With asteady breeze in my favour I crept silently back and captured some intimate footage of them in this beautiful mountain meadow. I felt so blessed to finally film them at last, perseverance and hard work finally paid off. /LEON LORENZRelated Posts:Grizzly love story?Grizzly faring wellGrizzly bear encountersGrizzly determinationGrizzly love Story continuesPost navigationNew Teepee Lake hike a creekside portal to the alpineLong-billed Curlews return
