Canada Day in McBride
Canada Day Celebration Games Prizes Fun at 11-2 Steve Kolida Park. Games for all ages, Photo Booth, Food Truck (Country Girl’s Grill). MLA Shirley Bond will be in attendance. 1:30pm will be the singing of O Canada, short speeches and the cutting of the cake.
Canada Day in Valemount
Kick off the day with a pancake breakfast at the Legion from 8:30am to 10:30am then head over to the Museum located at 1090B Main St for games, activities and live music by local musicians starting at 10:30am. Cake cutting and speeches by local dignitaries will be at noon, and more outdoor games with prizes from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. Join us later at 6:30pm for a family dance by DJ Tommy to be followed by the movie Avatar: The Way of Water which starts at the Community Hall. There will be a concession (cash only) with great snacks! Bring your own chair/blankets. Arrive in your best Canada Day attire for a chance to win prizes at the Family Dance. Canada Day in Blue River
Celebrations start with a parade at 10am (participants meet near Saddle Mountain Restaurant at 9am). Parade ends at Eleanor Lake where there will be singing of O Canada at 12pm, 12:30pm cupcakes, 1pm games and activities begin. 9:45 p.m. fireworks TBA.
