The Mini Mustangs basketball team, made of Grade 6 and 7 students, faced off against a full bench of McBride’s emergency responders on Friday night. The players completed a full 40 minutes of play, and the younger players participated in two rounds of a dribbling control competition at half-time.
Although the older and much taller EMS team sometimes used their size to their advantage; by reaching over the younger players or just picking them up to move them or hold them back, the Mini Mustangs came out on top. Coach Noah Keim hopes to see games like the one Friday night be a more regular occurrence. /ANDREA ARNOLD PHOTOS
