Students at the McBride Elementary school participated in a bike Rodeo on Friday afternoon. Constable Cooke and Corporal Bissel along with Jeff McNaughton and Courtney Lipke ran the students through activities that taught basic safety skills, basic bike adjustments, and hand signals. They also ran through a short obstacle course. “The bike rodeo was a huge success for McBride,” said Constable Cooke. This is a very important event that teaches bike safety including wearing helmets. It also helps the students interact positively with the police.” She also wanted to, on behalf of the RCMP, thank the local businesses that provide the prizes for the event. /SUBMITTEDRelated Posts:A mountain biking vision takes shapeNew college director announcedMcBride's first female RCMP arrivesFix 'er up!Editorial - Gratitude for fire & rescue volunteersPost navigationLETTER – Lessons from the fireMcBride Students compose with Juno award winner
