Ten ladies participated in a quilting workshop at the McBride Elks Hall, led by guest Terry Rowland. Each quilter worked on her own raven made from countless pieces of fabric through a process called fabric underlay. Rowland had two completed samples on display as she talked the ladies through the process. /ANDREA ARNOLDJoan Marchant and Sandie Birnie agreed that the process of creating their ravens was a lot of work as they had to trace and cut each individual piece to fit the pattern exactly before moving on to the next one. Pieces were numbered to try to help eliminate some difficulty. /ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:Valley Piecemakers Quilt ShowLocal Makers - Venuto Upcycle + ThriftLocal Maker - Bob "Sqwey'its" MitchellLocal ceramics artist on display at valley museumBirds of a feather...felting togetherPost navigationBear season has begunGoat nominated for two awards
