For several days following a deer
versus train altercation, this eagle, and
at least two others, could frequently
be spotted high in the trees near the
carcass. Only rarely were observers
able to observe them eating. This
eagle had been perched for some time
without a feather out of place, but just
prior to this photo, he had shaken his
head, and his feathers had not yet all
fallen back onto perfect formation. /
