On the Feb 18th day of Family Day weekend, VARDA and the Best Western Plus Valemount Inn and Suites held a BBQ at the Allan Creek alpine shelter. VARDA GM Curtis Pawliuk says riders were greeted with amazing food, smiles, high fives and music as they came to the shelter for a warm up or rest. Best Western and VARDA staff and volunteers put on the BBQ which was by donation. All donations were to be split between the two local schools for use towards their food programs. $850 was raised that day and each school received a donation of $425. / SUBMITTED
