A flat bed semi carrying a boring drill got hung up on the tracks near Eleanor Lake in Blue River Saturday morning Jan. 14th and was hit by a train around 7:30am. No injuries were reported. The truck belonged to a LEDCOR
contractor. Local resident Albert Venor said road conditions were atrocious that day, and the road maintenance company did not clear roads in town until Sunday. “Only 4×4 trucks could get around town.” He said the flat bed
should have been wearing chains. /PHOTOS COURTESY JJ JAHNKE
