Prince George-Valemount Liberal MLA Shirley Bond will remain the shadow critic for Health, Senior Services and Long-term Care after the Liberal Opposition responded to the NDP government’s cabinet shuffle last week.
The NDP also announced two new Ministries last week: the Ministry of Housing, and the Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness. The new cabinet includes 23 ministers and four ministers of state, with balanced gender representation. The cabinet will be supported by 14 parliamentary secretaries.
The Liberal Party has named 26 MLAs to its shadow cabinet.
“Our BC Liberal caucus remains committed to holding them to account for that lack of action in areas like healthcare, affordability, and public safety, all while continuing to push government for bold responses to the various crises we must collectively tackle,” Liberal leader Kevin Falcon said.
