On Sunday morning, members of McBride Emergency Services marched in memory of the fallen First Responders who died on September 11, 2001. McBride District Fire Department Deputy Chief Courtney Lipke participated in the March for the first time this year. “It is important to remember all those who passed,” said Lipke. “Many of the First Responders who perished were firefighters, but it is important to remember them all. When we respond to a call we never know what we are going to experience. Sometimes we aren’t needed at all, and other times we give everything we have to make sure that everyone returns home safely. This march is a reminder of our mortality.” /ANDREA ARNOLDMcBride Emergency Services marched in silence down Main Street, this banner a reminder of the tragedy of 9/11 stretched across the fire truck. /ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:9/11 Memorial MarchMcBride Fire crew welcomes new CaptainSolidarity - remembering 911Oil donationFirst responders get electric vehicle trainingPost navigationRCMP issue safety warning to driversSeveral restaurants closing for fall break
