Workers are making steady progress on the $11.3M apartment and daycare centre on 5th ave in Valemount, a project spearheaded by Robson Valley Community Services and funded by BC Housing and the BC New Spaces fund with support from the Village of Valemount and Columbia Basin Trust. Once completed, the building will contain 14 units of short- and long-term housing for women and children at risk of violence, as well as a trauma-informed daycare for up to 72 children (not all full-time slots). /LAURA KEIL
