On May 27th some students at the Valemount Secondary School submitted their own art for the Indigenous Art Contest. The theme was Reconciliation through music. Arayah Tinsely- Dawson won the contest with her original hand-painted piece of an Indigenous woman beating a drum. /ANNA MATA
