As of May 1, 2022 license plates no longer require an expiry date sticker. This was announced earlier this year, and has now gone into effect. A statement from ICBC says anyone who has an unused date sticker needs to return it to ICBC in an Obsolete Decals envelope through Purolator by May 31, 2022. ICBC will cover the cost. Any stickers that are already on a license plate can remain past their expiry date. Customers can either legally display an expired decal, a decal that is blacked out with a black marker or a decal that is covered with any colour of plain material. “Drivers are still responsible for renewing their plates before their expiration date,” said McBride based insurance agent Rosemary Hruby. “The police will be scanning and checking for valid and invalid plates.” /ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:ICBC launching online insurance renewal, phasing out…ICBC rejects 2,600 vanity plates in 2023BC drivers will get discount on car insurance in springThe alleged forged license and the inadmissable evidenceRCMP seek public's help to locate father and daughterPost navigationCone Zone Campaign: slow down for roadside safetyLocal farmers use Farm Gate Plus to supply local meat
