On April 22, 2022 Valemount celebrated Earth Day with a village wide garbage pickup event. High school students joined the cause as well as several community members. The clean-up was followed by a gathering at the Community Garden located behind the High school on Ash Street. Ben Coyle entertained the crowd with his guitar and vocals. There was a scavenger hunt for kids involving little pieces of paper folded and tucked in places with interesting facts about water conservation and other ways to keep our planet healthy and happy: learning how to keep our planet healthy and how to leave a smaller carbon footprint for future generations. /TRISH GAIRRelated Posts:RVCS growing food security with community gardenExtending Earth Day into a Spring of LearningBlue River community gardenMusical group Sweet Alibi to perform in ValemountValemount Secondary hosts music & art nightPost navigationValemount Senior Citizens Housing Society – A Legacy Worth SupportingDominion Creek rest bench destroyed
