In our Feb 3rd story about the Valemount Bike Park, we reported that Columbia Basin Trust was contributing funds towards an extension of Munday Grind climbing trail. While they did contribute money, the majority of the funding for the extension came from the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA).
“The 3.5km long trail project will cost $120,000 and $105,000 was generously provided by the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA). $15,000 of the recent Trails Enhancement Grant from CBT will go towards the climbing trail extension project while the remaining funds are directed at required maintenance and equipment,” said VARDA Manager Curtis Pawliuk.
