The Blue River school’s Parent Advisory Council will have some pocket change to spend on outdoor opportunities for the children this year, thanks to a $2,000 donation from Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing. “We would like to offer our sincerest gratitude for this very generous funding,” said Blue River PAC Treasurer, Amy Deuling. “This year, we plan to purchase much needed sports equipment for our students. We are so honoured to carry on Mike’s love of the outdoors.” Mike Wiegele Helicopter skiing says they they hope to make the funding an annual tradition to support sports equipment, outdoor activities, or field trips. “Mike was passionate about empowering others and helping people grow,” a press release said. “This is a legacy that Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing continues to honor under the leadership of Bonnie and Michelle Wiegele. Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing was founded on a dream. It is our hope that these donations will help provide young people with opportunities that inspire them to chase dreams and goals of their own.” /SUBMITTEDRelated Posts:Documentary on Mike Wiegele releasedCross Country fun in Blue RiverBlue River suspension bridge relinks trails cut off…Blue River honours Terry FoxBlue River Community GardenPost navigation600-year eventLegion contest winners
