The front of the McBride Fire Hall was treated to a new concrete pad this past week. It has been a needed upgrade as the previous pad was half as thick and was not standing up to the weight of the trucks, full or empty. The previous pad was becoming a hazard as it was cracking and lifting. The department has been saving up and budgeting for this upgrade for several years. Local contractor Shawn Miller and his crew completed the pouring on Tuesday September 7, 2021. It will be several weeks before the pad has cured enough for use. /ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:Editorial - Gratitude for fire & rescue volunteersLocal arenas and Robson Valley community hall get upgradesFire Department's new bench three decades in the makingMcBride District Fire Department gets wildfire…Firefighters visit preschool for Fire Prevention WeekPost navigationRoad to McBride Peak re-opensRCMP respond to vehicle incidents
