The McBride District Volunteer Fire Department and the RCMP helped secure the field next to the Gigglin’ Grizzly Neighbourhood Pub twice on Sunday August 30, 2021 for the air ambulance to land for patient transport. The location was used for its proximity to the hospital and accessibility, as the road to the airport is currently under construction. The pub was open for business at the time and customers watched curiously but were reassured by a firefighter who called over, “It wasn’t the food.” /ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:Emergency Services in actionAir ambulance helicopter now flying out of Prince GeorgeRepair on Airport Road underway in McBrideValley Fire Departments receive $30,000 eachCollision between bus, semi west of McBride claims…Post navigationGlobal Thoughts Gwynne Dyer: Rockets in the StratosphereEditorial: Employee housing could be a shared solution
