The addition that is now visible on the back side of the museum storage area is an expanded version of the small “building” that had been built onto the old museum near the McBride skate park on 2nd ave. The facade was carefully cut away and moved to the new location on a trailer, by library board member Harold Edwards. Tony Vizza from Home Hardware provided assistance with the forklift to get the facade into place up against the 98-square-foot building that Tony Rykes constructed at the end of the museum storage building. Rykes salvaged what supplies he could from the previous site. Library board member Glen Foster and library director Abi Ward helped with the construction process. The new space will have shelves for storage and be used for property maintenance equipment. /ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:Local volunteer honoured for commitment to libraryLive in McBride: TV broadcasting at maximum powerRadio & TV society looks for new membersMcBride Library turns 75Museum offering adult classesPost navigationRMG Guide to thrift stores, mini shops and donation centres in Valemount, McBride and the Robson ValleyRoad slump repair at Valemount Bike Park underway thanks to partners
