Public Works removed a bollard at the corner of 5th ave and Dogwood St. last week. Valemount Chief Administrative Office Wayne Robinson said a transport truck turning from Dogwood onto 5th clipped the bollard with a back tire of the truck trailer. “Village staff spoke with the driver and took copies of his insurance and driver’s license,” Robinson said. “This information has been conveyed to the Director of Finance who is following up with the Municipal Insurance Authority to see what our next steps will be. Our intention is to have the driver’s insurance cover the cost of the repairs.” /LAURA KEILRelated Posts:Village of Valemount resumes Animal controlVillage quits auto insurance bizThe alleged forged license and the inadmissable evidenceValemount CAO leaving the VillageDriver escapes uninjured in truck fire +VIDEOPost navigationBC Housing funds Valemount Cares senior housingEditorial: Dunster’s farmland crunch
