McBride Public Works crew planted 15 flowering crab apple trees in the green space next to the Village Office on Thursday May 27, 2021. The trees were purchased through funding provided by BC Hydro Tree Canada Beautification Grant. This species of tree was selected because of its compatibility with the climate and its spring bloom beauty, without bearing bear-attracting fruit. /ANDREA ARNOLD
