Thompson Valley Charters Ltd. has pushed back its Kamloops-Edmonton schedule start date until Thurs. May 20th, citing COVID-19 travel restrictions.
“Due to Covid restrictions tightening up, we made the decision to push back our launch date to do our part to help with the new rulings,” the company said in an email. “Please watch for us coming through your town Thursday May 20.”
The company is the only one offering public bus service between Kamloops and Edmonton with stops in between.
The bus heads north (Kamloops to Edmonton) on Mondays and Thursdays, and south (Edmonton to Kamloops) on Tuesdays and Fridays. The bus leaves midday from Kamloops (Sahali Mall) and stops in Barriere (Esso), Little Fort (Husky), Clearwater (Shell), Avola (post office), Blue River (Petro Can), Valemount (Shell), Mt. Robson (Visitor Centre parking lot), Jasper (train station), Hinton (Esso), Edson (Best Western), and Edmonton at the Red Arrow/Ebus terminal on 104th st by around 11pm. On the way back, the bus leaves the Edmonton terminal in the morning around 7:45am, and arrives in Kamloops around 4:30pm.
