Viktor Bugaychuk & Valerie Anders from Robson Valley Construction, work carefully as they pour concrete into forms in front of Beaverview Lodge in McBride along 5th Avenue. The crew is working with Public Works to widen the sidewalks. “They will be five feet across instead of four,” said Public Works Operations Manager John Peterson. The additional space will create ease of movement for those people requiring assistance as they make their way to main street or the hospital. They are also creating a second wheelchair access point to the walk up to Beaverview. The plan, weather depending, is to complete the same improvements on the opposite side of 5th Avenue as well./ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:Hydro pole successfully replaced during planned outageRepair on Airport Road underway in McBrideTight squeezeDespite grant, utility rates going upValemount Council - New councillors, sidewalk…Post navigationDome Creek marketDouble Fatal MVI
