Five properties were still under evacuation alert as of presstime Tuesday morning after a debris flow in Leona Creek threatened surrounding roads and land. Leona Creek, located on Hwy 16 a few km west of Tete Jaune, is the same creek that forced person to abandon their home in 2013 after it swelled to many times its original size. So far this year, residents have been asked to prepare for an evacuation (an alert) but there hasn’t been an evacuation order. /ANDRU MCCRACKEN
