Students, staff and parents said so long to longtime Gr. 6-7 teacher Karen Doughty with surprise tributes during a parade. The parade also wished students well for the summer. Doughty is retiring this year after 27 years of teaching in Valemount. She has long been the backbone of the yearly Berg Lake hiking trip with the Gr. 7 class and has also been very involved in extracurricular activities like the gymnastics program and figure skating.
