At the request of the Regional District of Fraser Fort George, Members of BC Wildfire Services filled approximately 2500 sandbags in McBride on Thursday June 25, 2020. “This isn’t a normal situation,” said RDFFG Manager of External Relations, Renee McCloskey. “We were fortunate that they were available to help.” LDM delivered the sand to the parking lot between the Recreation Centre and the Community Hall. The filled sandbags are available for anyone who needs the added protection against rising floodwaters./ANDREA ARNOLD Related Posts:This week in photos: July 2ndPower outage hits 12,000 customers north of KamloopsVillage of McBride misses deadline to fill fire…Dominion Creek bursts its banks; 1st and 2nd avenues closedTMX to add night shift over the coming weeksPost navigationShame: the good, the bad and the convenientHeavy rains could bring trouble to Upper Fraser: Forecast Centre
