Contractor Gordon Holland has been working on the United Church Hall in McBride, home of the Thrift Store. The building was first opened for services in May of 1914. At one point early in its existence, it held a position as the only church between Prince George and Edson. It has been moved throughout the village and served many purposes in its 106 years, making it the oldest church building in McBride. The facelift will protect the historic building for many more years of service to the community.June 10, 2020 marked the 95th anniversary of the United Church of Canada./ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:Letter - Alive and well despite challengesWant to attend a Christmas service?
