Work on the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion continues, ATCO trailers that will be joined together to make a 600 person camp have arrived in the gated, guarded, tightly surveilled camp in Valemount. Recent talks with the Village of Valemount could result in many pipeline workers staying in underbooked local accommodations, in part to create space for social distancing at the camp. Some people are foreboding a massive influx of workers into the community and the potential for the introduction of COVID-19.
