Valemount’s Peewee hockey team finished 4th in a home tournament last weekend. They played the 100 Mile House Wranglers in the 3rd place final. “The kids played hard and had an amazing game,” said Team Manager Janine Jensen. The Wranglers were up 2-0 going into the 2nd period, but the Valemount Wildcats clawed their way to a tie 2-2 which held out right until the end of the 2nd period when the Wranglers scored their 3rd goal. The Wildcats came back in the 3rd period to tie it up 3-3. At the end of the 3rd period, the Wranglers scored 2 more goals in the last 3 minutes of the game. “Our Peewee Wildcats played hard and had a fabulous end to our tournament, despite the loss.” Jensen said.
