McBride festivities were in full swing this past weekend. Friday evening the town welcomed Santa Claus and kids lined up at the Elks Hall for a chance to meet him. Outside the hall, vintage sleds participating in the Bung Bung Vintage Ride event lined the street. Up and down main street, businesses stayed open late to allow some extra Christmas shopping. Shops on Main had extra vendors and joined in the event by also extending their hours. A hockey game between Valemount and McBride’s adult rec hockey teams provided entertainment and food and money raised for the food bank.
