With the federal election looming, two major federal parties haven’t yet announced candidates for the Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies riding. The election will take place on October 21.


Incumbent MP Bob Zimmer will seek his third term with the Conservative Party of Canada. Ron Vaillant, a skateboarding journeyman carpenter and pipefitter is the candidate for the People’s Party of Canada. Vaillant is based out of Lacombe, Alberta.
Catharine Kendall is the Green Party candidate,

she is the executive director and co-founder of the Connaught Youth Centre Society in Prince George.
The Liberal Party of Canada and the New Democratic Party have yet to announce.
