The Chan Family arrived back in the Valley for a short visit on July 23, 2019 and spent time with the family that hosted them upon their arrival to Canada 39 years ago (1980). Pictured left – right Steve Keim, Ann Chan, Andy Keim, Joy Keim, Ken Chan, Phun Chan, Bing Chan and behind, Dave Keim. The Chan’s lived in the Keim’s basement for three months before moving into a house in town. The family had been paired with a group from what is now the Evangelical Free Church through a government program looking for sponsors. Most of the Chan family now lives in Ontario. Phun and her family are located in Singapore. Her family was visiting in Canada and they wanted to use the opportunity to come back to the community that helped get them started here, and to say a heartfelt thank you./ANDREA ARNOLDRelated Posts:Jasper Fire: 32,000 hectares large, suppression in…Accidental captive makes out okayGlobal Thoughts - China: A Message from RussiaTravelling home through COVID-19Education a ‘must' for all children,…Post navigationValemount Council: proposed zoning changes, woodstove exchangeMcBride Council: Air Access, New Trails, Committee Appointments
