40 students from the McBride Centennial Elementary School presented “The Snow Queen” to audiences on a Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Two employees/actors with Missoula Children’s Theatre out of Missoula Montana arrived in town and took on the task of auditions, practices and performances with these students, in less than a week! Missoula Children’s Theatre first arrived in McBride in 1991, and many former actors are now getting the unique opportunity to watch their children perform through the program. The program ran in McBride from 1991-1998 and then returned to the McBride stage in 2006. Lead Hobgoblin and Tour Director Marie Phillips commented that it is neat and rare to be a part of such a long running partnership. /ANDREA ARNOLD Related Posts:Queen's medallions to four more residentsRare SightMissoula Children's Theatre: Treasure IslandMcBride Bee RescueBirds of a featherPost navigationMcBride student chosen as UNBC ValedictorianProvincial childcare programs impact living wage
