Donna and Sandy Hamilton, owners of Twin Peaks Resort west of Valemount, have invested in a couple of Norwegian Kicksleds and plan to rent them out to guests staying at their property.
They tested them out on 5-Mile road last weekend. The sleds work great on the flat and are not an uncommon sight in Scandinavia on roads that are not sanded or salted. The sleds include a seat for a rider and are powered and braked solely with a person’s feet. They are lightweight and also easy to steer.
