Grace Schmitke, Rene Nunweiler and Beth Russell aren’t afraid to wear their PJs in public! The town of Jasper has been hosting PJ events to help raise awareness for auto-immune diseases and holistic healing for 5 years, and this year, they’ve challenged Valemount, somewhat known for our acceptance of wearing PJ’s in public, to get in on the act. Some local businesses like the Caribou Grill and Three Ranges Brewing Company (Mike Lewis looking coquettish in a negligee with wife Rundi Anderson in robe) stepped up to offer prizes for folks wearing their pyjamas in public on Leap Day and the day before. Maureen Allard, who recently moved to Valemount from Jasper, spearheaded the challenge which started on Sunday with pyjama wearing and poem recitals at Three Ranges Brewing Company.
