Come out this weekend and join the Elks and Royal Purple for Pioneer Days, June 5, 6 and 7th in McBride.
There will be a parade, slow-pitch tournament, heavy horse pull, children’s activities, the Volunteer Fire Department’s Bucket Brigade and Dunk Tank, Logger’s events, pancake breakfast, horseshoe tournament, Show and Shine, helicopter rides, a dance, and many other activities. Call Deb or Marty Kelly at 250-569-7174 or 250-569-7519 if you want to register a team for the Slo-Pitch tournament.
The parade is on Saturday with prizes for the bet decorated kid’s bike. There’s no need to register to be in the parade, just show up at the Post Office parking lot at 9:00 on Saturday. Call Deb Traquair for any questions about the parade, 250-566-8825.
The dance starts Saturday at 9:00 pm, featuring Roadside Splinter. Pick up your tickets at Home Housewares, the Farm Store or the Information Booth. Must be 19 years old to attend.
