If someone in Valemount tells you theyre going down the lake this weekend, theres no need to ask which lake if youre a local. By lake theyre actually referring to Kinbasket Reservoir. In the spring, going down the lake may not involve any water at all if the water level is low. Its also a great place to camp or have a campfire. The Kinbasket Reservoir is more than 200km long and reaches full pool during the summer months. It is used by fishers, campers, boaters, swimmers, ATVers and hunters.
