On Tuesday April 7th, 2015, the McBride RCMP arrested a male who failed to comply with numerous conditions of his probation order. The male was held in custody and transported to Prince George where he was placed in front of a judge to answer to the charges of breaching his probation order.
On Thursday April 9th, the Valemount RCMP responded to a 911 call where it was reported that an intoxicated male who had been asked to leave a residence became upset and began smashing things inside of the residence. The male who had departed before police arrival also had smashed the back window out of a truck which was owned by the homeowner.
While investigating the report of the male who had damaged the property inside of the residence, a second 911 call was received of a break and enter into a residence nearby. The male had entered the residence through an unlocked door at the residence. Police quickly attended and took the intoxicated male into custody without incident. The male was lodged in cells and was released from custody in the morning on strict conditions with a future court date.
On Saturday April 11th, while conducting speed enforcement on Highway 5 near Valemount, a south bound vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle clocked at a speed of 156km/hr in the posted 90km/hr speed zone. The driver of the vehicle was issued a Violation Ticket for Excessive Speed and had his vehicle impounded for 7 days under the Motor Vehicle Act.
