From Jan. 12 to 17th The Canada Winter Games torch is visiting McBride, Valemount, Hixon, Wells, 100 Mile House and Williams Lake.
The Canada Winter Games in Prince George, from Feb 13th – March 1st, will include some 19 sports with athletes coming from all 10 provinces and three territories. The sports range from traditional winter, traditional summer, Paralympic, and Special Olympic will make up the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
On January 12th the Roly McLenahan Torch was introduced as the symbolic flame signalling the travel throughout the Lheidli T’enneh Native Lands which stretch from the Rocky Mountains to the junction of the 2 Rivers in Prince George. There was a ceremony in McBride and then in Valemount.
