A snowfall warning continues for both Valemount, McBride and the Robson Valley, after the Valley received close to 1 metre of snow between last night and tonight. It is supposed to continue to snow through the night. There’s a 60% chance of flurries in both McBride & Valemount tomorrow (Friday) morning. The power is still out for much of the Robson Valley – 2641 customers are affected. ETA of restored power is now past 11pm – though it’s our understanding some are on McBride’s backup bio-diesel generators. There are two separate outages – one was due to a tree falling on the line, the other is still under investigation. Drive BC is still showing a travel advisory for Hwy 16 and Hwy 5 around Valemount and semi-trailers are crammed all along the frontage road, as well as some of the neighbouring roads.
