A young woman comes home to Valemountia for her grandmother’s funeral, and feels the push and pull of the community she escaped, only to find it calling her back again with a new pioneering spirit.
Sharon Sterns of Wishbone Theatre and six local women – Miwa Hiroe, Donalda Beeson, Caitlin Beddington, Nicki Dryden, Kerry McNaughton and Laura Keil – brought Valemountia to the stage after about nine months of collaboration. The play was written collaboratively and edited and directed by Sharon Stearns.
